Community Vibes

“My hope is that everyone will see a little piece of themselves and their loved ones in the shapes, colors, and feel of these tables.”

A project by Anna Dugan

Inspired by her recent work in Salem, Massachusetts, local artist Anna Dugan has created 10 unique works of art for our community to enjoy as they safely connect with loved ones on The Green. Intricate linework displayed on 10 vibrant picnic tables creates silhouette figures, fashioned with the hairstyles and facial features that we see on ourselves, our loved ones, and our fellow community members.

About the Artist

Anna Dugan is a first-generation Filipinx American artist based in Salem, MA with a BFA from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. Anna’s work celebrates her heritage, navigates the complexities of identity as a mixed-race person in the US, and creates space for vulnerable & honest mental health discussion through vibrant colors, storytelling, & folk-art inspired work.
