A Place for Pride

Tue, June 1 - Wed, June 30

You are welcome here.

We believe in inclusivity and creating spaces where everyone feels welcome. No matter who you love, we love having you here. Join us in celebrating Pride this month, and all year long.

Pride Rainbow Garden

On view through June 30

The rainbow has become a universal symbol for LGBTQIA+ people around the world. In celebration of Pride Month, we partnered with our community to plant a Rainbow Garden in Market Square, filled with colorful arcs hand-painted by the Lynnfield Art Guild, Lynnfield 4 Love, Lynnfield Recreation Department, The Boys & Girls Club of Stoneham & Wakefield, A Healthy Lynnfield, and North Shore Pride.

Together, by Mia Cross

On view indefinitely

Together, a mural by local artist Mia Cross was commissioned by MarketStreet Lynnfield to celebrate Pride. The mural, located behind Capital One Cafe, explores color, energy, and vibrancy through the artist’s typical bold and joyful color palette. Mia is forever enthralled at the harmony between patterning, color, and the human form: in her words “I often feel like my work isn’t worth making without a figure.” This group of figures is meant to be simultaneously abstracted and yet specific.  There are different figures and families and the artist hoped that everyone would find representation and belonging here. Together will serve as a reminder to all who see it that they are not alone. Pride is about bonding together for a better future. In a year spent apart, we are all so eager to once again come Together.

Join us in celebrating togetherness. Snap a photo of Together through June 30 and post it to social media with #TogetheratMarketStreet and @marketstreetlynnfield, and you’ll be entered to win $200 to your favorite MST shops. The best part? We’ll donate $1 to Lynnfield 4 Love for every post (up to $1,000), which aims to create a more connected community by fostering an appreciation and understanding of diversity and promoting kindness, equality, and justice for all people.
