sweetgreen is the culinary lifestyle brand dedicated to smartly-sourced, seasonal food, and the balance between work, life, food and community. Founded in 2007 by Nicolas Jammet, Jonathan Neman and Nathaniel Ru, the brand stands for a commitment to delicious, healthy and smartly-sourced food, working with like-minded farmers and growers who value sustainability and thoughtful practices. The first restaurant, a 560-square foot space in Georgetown, opened in August 2007. Since then, sweetgreen has grown to 29 restaurants throughout Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland, Philadelphia, Boston and New York City. In addition to a core selection of seasonal salads, sweetgreen’s menu includes grain bowls, soups and house-made beverages.
